When small crack or dental decay has damaged a tooth, a filling repairs and restores the tooth.  The defective tooth structure is carefully removed and then the restorative material (usually tooth-colored composite resin) is artistically placed and blended in with the surrounding tooth structure. Dr. Varadi strives to be ultra-conservative whenever possible and often, early small lesions can be repaired without anesthesia. As with most dental restorations, white fillings may someday need replacement. However, they often last for many years, and provide you with a fully restored smile.
